The short version

The Disc Mill has no accounts, no sign-ups, and collects no personal information directly. The site runs entirely in your browser. The only data involved comes from the third-party services below.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and links are useful: page views, anonymous click events (like which guide sent you to a retailer), and general region. We don't see who you are, and we don't try to find out. You can block this with any standard ad/tracker blocker and the site works fine.

Advertising cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or learn more at aboutads.info.

Affiliate links

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an Amazon link here, Amazon sets its own cookies to attribute the referral. This costs you nothing and doesn't change prices. Some retailer links on the site earn us nothing and exist purely for convenience.

Stored on your device

Your theme preference (dark/light) and a one-time splash-screen flag are stored locally in your browser. They never leave your device. The Disc Return Network generates QR codes in your browser; we don't store the contact details you put on a tag.

Location

Course-finder features may ask your browser for your location to show nearby courses. That request is handled by your browser, used once for the lookup, and never stored or transmitted to us.
