How picks are made.

What goes into a pick

• PDGA approval. Discs in our guides are checked against the PDGA approved disc list so they're legal for sanctioned play.
• Manufacturer flight numbers. Speed, glide, turn, and fade come from each brand's published specs. We don't invent ratings.
• Community consensus. A disc only makes a list if players consistently rate it well across forums, reviews, and league chatter, not because one person likes it.
• Real rounds. Jerry plays Metro Detroit courses (Addison Oaks, Stony Creek, River Bends, and others) and many picks reflect what actually works there.

Affiliate links never change rankings

This site earns commission from Amazon affiliate links. Rankings are decided first, then links are added, never the other way around. If a disc we recommend has no affiliate link available, it stays in the guide anyway. Some retailer links earn us nothing at all; they're there so you don't hit a dead end when something is out of stock.

Update cadence

Each guide shows a "last reviewed" date. Guides are re-checked when new molds get PDGA approval, when a recommended disc goes out of production, or when reader feedback flags a problem. The disc database itself syncs with new PDGA approvals on an ongoing basis.

Where AI fits in

AI tools help with code and first drafts. It's how a one-person site covers this much ground. The picks themselves, and everything above, are human decisions. More on that on the About page.
